I just came back from taiwan a few days ago. Can't say i did a lot or went partying or anything, but I learned a lot about my grandparents on both sides, how they grew up and lived. Most importantly, i realized why i am so delusional about relationships-- it's because my grandparents on both sides are the PERFECT examples of PERFECT relationships.
Growing up, my grandparents on both sides have been very loving and supportive. They actually became good friends where my grandmothers would go shopping or eating together, and my grandfathers would go play ma-jong (sp?) together. They would call each other up and do something together since they live fairly close to each other. I think in the back of my mind, that's how a perfect marriage/relationship should be. Maybe that's what I am looking for, a goodlooking/tall/successful/nice/down-to-earth guy whose parents will click w/ my parents so i dont have to worry about the grandparents fighting to get my kids for the holidays. i dunno why i am thinking about that... but anyways, i have a lot to think this week.
tomorrow is a big day for me. i will probably have quitted my job by the end of the day and accepted a job (while declining the other one). as of now i have not really made up my mind about which job i like more because i really like BOTH firms. both seem to have so much to offer. anny suggested that i flip a coin-- i think i'm going to rely on the Magic 8 Ball instead since it seems more trustworthy.
here's a pix of my grandma! i love my grandparents!
