Happy Birthday Hun! / News: Endangered Specie / Entertainment: Bubble Lounge

We went to Bushi-Tei for George's x1st bday (x is for an undisclosed number). The food was good, but i learned that their specialty dish (the Chilean sea bass) is no longer being serviced. Apparently the sea bass is on the endangered species list and they are not allowed to serve it!! SoulMate-- you and Steve should try it for your monthiversary.

Bubble Lounge on Saturday... feel like i haven't been to a bar or danced in ages! it was fun. It was nice seeing you guys!!

Good luck in Maryland

Another former roommate of mine is moving! Sigh... last nite a few of us got together and hung out at Santana Row for Christine's Farewell Gathering (part 1). she's actually leaving next weekend but i won't be here to see her off =(

Christine, good luck with school! I'll miss you!

On a side note: i'm not suitable to cook. i tried to make chop-chae (the korean noodle) and it looked like this. it looked fine, but it sure tasted pretty bad. i had to throw it away.

Happy Friday!

Lately there seems to be an influx of people visiting SF. I love the fact you guys are visiting!! Jeanna came 2 weeks ago, again last weekend, and my uncle's here for conference, then Chris came this weekend, next weekend Donny's coming (too bad i'll won't be here!), and then Anny's coming. Yay! i'm always excited to see you guys.

Here is a pix of cerena/my uncle from NJ/me at the restaurant last nite:

My good friend from high school Chris *may i add who used to worship me* is here for a wedding. (it was so nice to see you!) I dunno if getting Henry and Chris together was a good idea, scary how they think alike!

Pix from Thirsty Bear:

Have you guys seen a patron machine? i haven't, EZ5 is super cool. talk about fobby chic. i'm not kidding, EZ5 is the best place to take people b/c nobody goes there and there's always plenty of seats. Hahhahhahah.

It's been a year

This entry is dedicated to my longest-term roommate: ANNY!
Length of roommateship: 4.5 years (2002 to April 30, 2006)
Pros: very organized, focused, great cleaning skills (thanks to my supervision), takes charge of everything in our household, tech savvy, gives good advice
Cons: well, i don't want to scare Dave away for you Anny so let me just keep it to myself (see what a great friend i am...).

I read Anny's blog and it reminded me that it's been exactly a year since we were legally bound to each other on a rental contract. Can't believe it, it's been exactly a year! I still remember the day when I turned in the moving-out notice for our e-ville apt and i "signed" *cough* on behalf of Anny and Tracy. That was like 2.5 or 3 years ago.... what was i doing at home that day while my roommates were at work? hmm anyways... at least last year when we turned in our moving-out notice, i really got anny's signature and didn't have to sign on her behalf. it was so sad when we both signed the letter! felt like the end of an era.

I don't have any picture of when we were moving out on my work computer right now, but i found this pix of when Anny came back to visit the bay area.

All i have to say... thanks for putting up with me for 4.5 years!!

Lost and finally found

Hey Roommie, your bag arrived safe and sound. Here is a pix of the valuable possession that you have called TWENTY times to Delta Airline for. I'll keep it in my apt til you come back. Have a safe and fun trip!

Welcome back to SF, Jeanna!

This weekend, my high school friend and my roommate of 4 years came to visit for 2 days. It was def great seeing her and our other friends. Too bad her luggage got lost on the way here and somehow got routed to Italy. Well, look on the bright side Jeanna, even though you didn't get to go to Europe this year, your bag did!

Here is is a random pix of us:

Another random pix in my apartment from tonight:

Apparently I have not uploaded pictures for a while... i found a pix from back in Feb when tony volunteered to take me to The Secret Garden for a "princess afternoon tea" (that's what we really ordered). Thanks neighbor, I hope you enjoyed being the only guy in the whole place!

The end of my busy season, April 2007!

It's been over a year since I last posted an entry here. Last year was quite an interesting year. Sure have learned a lot since half of you girls moved! Come to think of it, this will be the FIRST busy season (the april busy season) that i'm coming home to an apartment without roomates... no one to welcome me back to the apartment, no one to congratulate me in person the end of my misery! i miss you guys!

My busy season is coming to an end and I feel more relaxed now. I'm bored, so I figured i should restart blogging. oh, i bought a webcam, so for those of you who have not seen me in a few weeks, here is what i look like now:

see the cool feature (thought bubble) captured by my webcam?

Since work has calmed down a bit (I have done a great job pushing my projects out. pat on the back), I finally had some time to myself to take a step back and did some self-reflecting. This weekend I found something that was kinda disapointing. I guess i'm too trusting and it's just dissapointing when i have too much faith in people. Confusing. enuf babbling, time to bust out my motto -- keep your head up and march forward!

Okay, time to work on my OWN returns now... done so many of other people's returns, finally have time to gather my own thoughts and documents together. so far, it's been a productive weekend.
